# About

Basic info about Move.

**Move** is a free, all-in-one solution for building and managing events for pretty much anything.

Move began as a simple alternative to the expensive and restrictive event platforms available. We aim to empower creators. We focus on delivering a stable, intuitive product that leaves the control of the event, revenue, and attendee management in the creator's hands.

# Content Policy

Move content policy

**Prohibited Content**\
Move, (m0ve.app), is fairly permissive when it comes to content. However, the usual categories of content are prohibited on all accounts, profiles, and events within the platform, including (but not limited to) content that is:

* Unlawful or violates the law
* Threatening or abusive
* Libelous or defamatory
* Invasive of privacy or publicity rights
* Pornographic (see below)
* Encouraging of criminal conduct or activity
* Infringing on another's trademarks or intellectual property

View our [full restrictions policy](https://9thdesigns.com/policies/restrictions)

**Adult Content**\
Move generally does not permit pornographic content. However, adult-oriented artwork is permitted so long as a) the post to which the artwork is being posted belongs to its artist/creator (for example, as part of a portfolio, gallery, general collection, etc.), and b) the artwork does not depict activity considered to be illegal. If you're not sure whether your particular use case falls under this exception, please get in touch. (<help@m0ve.app>)\
Intermission (Freeze or Frozen) Status\
If your account is marked as intermission or frozen, it was likely taken down due to either:

* A legal complaint from a third party (such as a trademark or copyright holder)
* A manual action taken by a moderator who determined your account violated our content policy and/or terms of use
* An automatic action taken by our moderation systems

To address this, please review our content policy and our terms of use/services, update your account as needed, then email <help@m0ve.app> with the subject "I Fixed Intermission Requests" to request a manual review of your site. If we determine your account is now in compliance with our content policy (or a moderation error was made on our part), we'll immediately bring it back online.

## Offline Accounts

If a account is marked as Offline, you would've received an email notice outlining it was likely taken down due to either:

* A legal complaint from a third party (such as a trademark or copyright holder)
* A manual action taken by a moderator who determined the account violated our content policy and/or terms of use
* An automatic action taken by our moderation systems

To address this, please email <help@m0ve.app> to receive steps on how to remediate.

# Selling Event Tickets

How to sell event tickets through Move.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Good to know:** Move allows you to fully control ticket proceeds. When setting up your seller settings, you're connected to Stripe our payment processor and a Stripe account is created on your behalf. When your attendee makes a purchase, fees are automatically extracted and your proceeds are deposited directly to your Stripe account. Stripe then deposits your balance to the connected debit card or bank card every three days. Read more on [Stripe Connect terms and agreements](https://stripe.com/legal/connect-account).
{% endhint %}

**Seller Settings**

An individual, company, or organization represents a "seller" in Move. Move allows free bookings as well, but we see our creators as Merchants. Merchants who sell and organize experiences, moments, and unforgetful memories.

Rather you're promoting a concert, organizing a meet-up, or planning a corporate meetup. Move provides a flexible, all-in-one, solution to managing your event.

## Set up payment

* Visit the Seller Settings page. (<https://m0ve.app/seller-settings>), to set up payment routing to begin selling event tickets
* Select the "enable payments" button
* Complete the banking onboarding
* Select the type of "entity". Are you selling tickets as an individual, non-profit, or company
* Enter a phone number for a text confirmation. (This is to authenticate who is able to access your payment dashboard)
* Email (This is auto-populated with the email associated with your Move account)

* **Verify details**

 * Based on the type of entity you've selected. Move and Stripe will need to verify your details to set up your account to accept payment. Move allows you to set up and receive payment within 25+ countries.

* **Set up payouts**
 * The last step is to provide a payment account for payouts. This can be done by providing a debit card or your bank's account and routing numbers.

## Payment settings with Event Tickets

Within Move, each ticket is treated separately from any other. This is key to allowing Move to remain flexible to fit different types of event creators. Within each ticket you create for an event, you set up if the ticket is paid or free, the main currency the ticket should display in, and if you want to absorb fees or pass fees to customers, + more.

When you save your event, the ticket settings you've inputted are also saved.

When your event is live, and attendees are purchasing event tickets. The ticket price and the currency you've inputted will reflect as the purchase price for one quantity of the ticket.

When you pass fees, Move's processing fees and Stripe's fees are auto-calculated and added on top of the customer's final checkout price.

When a transaction is made, no matter the currency, when delivered to your account it's converted and processed to your bank in its main currency.

**Seller Settings**

Rather you're promoting a concert, organizing a meet up, or planning a corporate meetup Move provides a flexible solution to managing your event.

# Connecting with Stripe

If you already have a Stripe account or want to use a new Stripe account with Move, the instructions below will assist.

### Connecting your stripe account

> :question: "I already have a Stripe account, what do I do? How do I connect it?"

If you already have a stripe account, it's no need to go through the full onboarding steps that are shown when you click "enable payments" within the seller settings of Move.

You can connect an already created Stripe by completing the following.

1. Visit the "Seller Settings" page within Move, <https://m0ve.app/seller-settings>, and select "Enable Payments".

2. If the email connected to your Move account is different than the email connected to your stripe account, change the email shown on the "Get Paid by Move" screen, to the email connected to your current Stripe account. \
 \
 (Move pre-populates the email field with the email connected to your Move account, to change it simply delete the value.)

Stripe Onboarding

3. Once you've entered the email address connected to your Stripe account select continue.

4. If the email you entered is connected to a current Stripe account, Stripe will prompt you to log in.

Stripe Sign in

{% hint style="info" %}
Move creates Stripe Express accounts on behalf of users for quicker onboarding. If you already have a Stripe account, a Stripe Express account may still be created although you're using an established Stripe Account. **Express accounts are a hybrid option that allows platform owners to customize some aspects while Stripe takes care of onboarding, verification, and account management**.\
\
This means sales and reporting will display in your main dashboard and a Stripe express account dashboard that can be accessed through your Move account. Both use the same email address. According to Stripe, this is normal, and a non-issue.
{% endhint %}

### Change the Stripe account, connected to my Move account

If you've completed Move's onboarding steps and realized it created a new Stripe account when you already have one or you want to connect a different Stripe account the instructions below can help!

1. If you want to remove the current Stripe account connected to your account. Simply visit the "Seller Settings" page within Move, <https://m0ve.app/seller-settings>, and select "reset payment settings"

This clears the account keys and Stripe settings that are connected to your Move account.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you need to delete the Stripe Express account previously connected to your Move account. Email <help@m0ve.app> and we'll guide you through the process and work with Stripe.
{% endhint %}

2\. After you've reset your payment settings, visit the "Seller Settings" page once again and select enable payments.

3\. Now you're able to complete the Move onboarding steps from scratch. If you would like to connect an established Stripe account follow the steps outlined in [Connecting your stripe account](#connecting-your-stripe-account).
